Mr. Greg Jergens - Home Page

My name is Greg Jergens and I have served as a 4th grade teacher at Iowa Valley for the past 10 years. I earned my B.A. in elementary education from the University of Nothern Iowa. In the past I have been involved in many coaching duties including: Assistant Boy's Basketball, Assistant Boy's Track, and Head Varsity Boy's Baseball. I am currently the Head Girl's Varsity Volleyball Coach. I live with my wife Lindsey along with our children Paige, Cecilia, Nolan, and our baby Jersey in Marengo.

4th grade is a year of transition at our school as students earn letter grades for the first time. We do our best to increase their responsibility level and prepare them for a future filled with more independence.

I do my best to help students understand that in life there are always choices. Making the right choices can set you on the way to wonderful experiences and success. To go along with this the 4-6 grades have adopted a new homework policy that is listed below.

Tiger Pride – Be safe, be responsible, be respectful, do your best

To improve the level of responsibility, 4-6 grades have adopted a work turn-in policy as follows:

Assignments are due the day they are due.
Late assignments must be turned in the next day at half credit.
Beyond this, assignments are still expected to be completed and turned in, but will result in no credit.

If extra help is needed, please contact the teacher.

Thank you,
4-6 Grade Teachers

I'm looking forward to working with your child!
