I am enjoying my 13th year as a kindergarten teacher at Iowa Valley! I have 24 years of teaching experience.
My teaching career includes several years as a preschool teacher and as a secondary business education teacher. I have attended both UNI and the U of I.
My husband, Greg, and I are proud of our children: Emily is 24, a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in Communications Disorders. She is beginning a Master's program in Speech and Language Pathology at St. Ambrose College in Davenport. Adam is 21 and a senior at the U of I with a major in Health and Sports Studies with a journalism emphasis. He is also a student reporter for HawkeyeSports.com. You can probably guess that I am a big Hawkeye fan, too!
In my free time I enjoy gardening, flea markets, and decorating my home. I also have my own little garden business and design container planters at Marge’s Flower Shop here in Marengo. My husband and I also enjoy our three dogs and thoroughbred horse, spending time with our kids and biking and walking around Marengo.
I am also proud to be a part of the Iowa Valley School District. Year after year, I continue to see important steps taken in preparing our children of Marengo for the future! I've enjoyed meeting the families in our community and look forward to meeting many more!
